Photo Essay

Tokyo Tower

Ground View of Tokyo Tower

On a typical business trip I will only get to see the inside of a plane, to the inside of a taxi cab, to the inside of a hotel, to the inside of a meeting room. I might get lucky and see a famous landmark through the window on one of the taxi rides to and from the customer and the hotel. Collegues will often say, "you are so lucky, you get to travel around Tokyo, Shanghai, Taipei, Barcelona", but as many of us business travelers know rarely do you get to see much of the town during the trip. This was my lucky day. Sightseeing is not a normal part of my trip. We finished our customer meetings early and our office is nearby the Tokyo tower.

The tower has 2 viewing levels. I had to go all the way to the top. Some of the photos are from the middle viewing area and a couple are from the 250 meter level. I tried to capture Mount Fuji, but it was a bit of a hazy day so I was not able to catch it all.

I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.
