Photo Essay

Gimmelwald, Murren and Schilthorn, Switzerland

Swiss Alps

I never feel more at ease and content than I do in nature. I've never seen nature so beautiful as in Switzerland. From the moment the train entered the country, my eyes were glued to the scenery...the gorgeous lakes, the greenest green I've ever seen in the grass, the awe-inspiring snow-capped mountains peering through the clouds. Every movement of the clouds or variation of the sunlight creating a slightly varied view of the same magnificent mountains. It was so beautiful that it was surreal. As if I could feel the experience fading into memory while I still stood there, clinging to it, trying to prolong it and dwell in it. I took so many pictures in hopes of making the experience accessible later; these are just a few. None of them do it justice...of course.
