I take pictures since I am not particularly fluent with words.

My trip to Sicily has been illustrated the best by the photos I took. Text serves only as a tiny signature to accompany the photos.

I am not a big traveler – however, based on the existing experience, Sicily has left me the warmest impression ever. This is not because of its climate but of its people and atmosphere. Sicilians receive you with extreme cordiality even when you are taking close-up photos of the local people. I admire their ability to live in the present moment – they have no worries about tomorrow, instead, they rejoice in what and how they are living their everyday life.

It is a fact that Palermo is a dirty place. Its market is full of rotten pieces of meat and fat homeless dogs who have the luxury to choose what they eat. The locals, nevertheless, are not discouraged by the dirt and garbage.

For one week, we traveled around Sicily on a yacht, and landed only where it was possible to land. There was a fisherman Vinzenzo living on Egad island – the most authentic fisherman I have ever met. He invited us to join him to go fishing at 2 in the morning.

Sicily is the land of warm hearts ...
