The Moving Light
By John Adams

Most of my photography takes place on my travels to and from work. As I travel very early and have to cross seven bridges during my commute through rural SE Georgia two things happen:
1. I see almost every sunrise of the year.
2. The bridges put me at the perfect vantage to get a nice image!
In the evening, besides living in the middle of many miles of marshes, I also have the perfect reflecting pond in my backyard – so the sunset is always close at hand as well.
I have been criticized by many when I mention that I do love to shoot sunrise and sunset images, even my wife feels if you have seen one you have seen them all – I have yet to see two of them the same! It also seems to be considered somewhat juvenile or uncreative among the photography community as well although I have never understood why, perhaps being self taught has inbred some sort of ignorance into me but I just can not help myself. When I look out my car window and see such colors, reflections and moving light I become overwhelmed with the amazing beauty of that moment - whether it be the beginning or ending of another precious day.
My hope is to share a small glance into the beauty that I feel I have been blessed with so many days and hopefully let others know there is an art to capturing these grand moments of magic!
Happy imaging my friends!!
