Sepia Tinted Moments

Gazing at the endless ceilings
Memories of sepia tinted moments
Grace around my head
Feeble touches of truth caress this current existence
What once happened will never happen again.
Senses recall the scent of fresh cut grass
Blisters on my tender skin
Memories of childhood
Some painful, some revered
Gazing at the endless ceilings
Wondering where did the beautiful morning go.
That prism of colors we once knew
Gazing at the endless ceilings
Warm mist of endless summers
Warm memories of childhood friends
Embracing new seasons
I embark to new legs in my journey
I set hopes as high as sails
Sepia tinted moments
Tell me where all this will end.
