I took these on February 27th, 2007, which is my seventeen month anniversary with my fiancé, and it's rather depressing because he has been forbidden from talking to me today. It's a new rule that we can only talk on the phone every other day from 9pm to 10pm, and we only see each other every other weekend.

The rose was not really for me, it was for my older, not to mention luckier, sister. Her boyfriend gets her roses for no reason all of the time. The dress in this picture was a dress I bought from the Goodwill for a GLBT prom and I wanted to take a shoot with it on before I painted black skeleton bones on it.

The picture entitled "Blue" in this shoot represents the true mourning I have without him. The blue-dyed tears are that I sometimes feel like my feelings are too much or that others think I'm silly to have such feelings for a person so incredibly out of reach. They also represent the impossibilities of such a bright and in turn optimistic sob.

The blonde hair, which is best portrayed in "Flash" sort of represents the perfectionism that every female in a relationship aspires to reach. It represents the falsehoods and fantasies of relationships to live happily ever after and knowing that, pretty as it may look, it will not come satisfyingly.

Alas, I've no control over the situation and no control over my involvement. I love him.
