10 Days in Sarajevo

It was the BRIDGE that was the inspiration behind most of my photos in Sarajevo... this trip was part of the "Veterans" project I was working on.
I, along with my crew, was touched by the warm welcome we received from our hosts. And we thought this would be as warm as it would get considering the unforgiving cold weather. But we were wrong. We were greeted with wide smiles, and sometimes by hugs, from people on the streets, in the hotel, in the restaurants... I have never socialized with better people on any business or pleasure trip I have been on before.
If socializing is not your thing, there is no escaping the colors of the city. Everywhere you go is color, and that was with a massive white carpet of snow covering most of the city. This was absolutely the place to be toward the end of the year and it definitely helped me relax and reflect on the past twelve months.
Taking off from the airport overlooking all the places I visited; the park, mosque and church, I just got thinking: how could such a colorful, peaceful and tranquil city be the place where the world war one actually started...on that BRIDGE
