Closer

On a recent trip home, I discovered that many of my family members felt that I had distanced myself from them. In fact, many of them were hurt, and even angry with me in ways I did not expect. Instead of resolving these problems, I decided it would be interesting to take overwhelmingly close portraits of each family member. Their reactions were varied, surprising, and stunning.
I love the individuals behind these faces. Their gazes are those of people that know me.
