School is intense right now. I was on a smock break and I struck up a conversation with a really nice girl. Her major is metal smithing, but she really wants to be a blacksmith (Hard Freaking Core!). She was telling me how her mom wanted her to go to school for something. I told her I was in the same boat. Then I mentioned that I was stuck between deciding between Comm. Design and Photography. She basically made my choice for me by telling me that Comm. Des. students get their souls sucked out, and get nothing in return. She also mentioned that all of their work looks the same. I don't want to be a part of that!!!!! I like doing my own thing. So that's when I decided to do the photography thing again. If all else fails, I'll be a photography teacher. I don't like teaching, but the fact that I could change someone's life with this medium means something to me. Later on today, I talked to my buddy and fellow "art slave" Tim Tim. He questioned the art curriculum in class and it was AMAZING! He may drop out altogether. That's a little extreme for me (not to mention the fact that my mum would kill me), but I know he had good intentions. Long story short I need to get with it and take more pictures. Practice makes Perfect right?
