Fragile desert

Few people know, the Sahara is invaded by plastic waste. For decades, plastic bags dropped on it, forming a layer as much today as unsightly polluting. This breaks the delicate balance of desert. There are few months, a friend, a great lover of the desert, from the region asked us to do a documentary on a clean plastic M'Hamid (southern Morocco). My role as an assistant camera allowed me to do some pictures of this weekend cleaning by the villagers. These images are witness to the will of a people of the desert to keep the environment clean. There is a lot to do, what we do not yet know enough is that the plastic reaches and pollutes the most remote areas of the planet. This is a real problem for the environment. The plastic bags are stifling the sparse vegetation of the desert, kill animals that eat them, also pollute the precious water points ...
