Abandoned

Home Sweet Home

Boarded windows, broken glass, thoughts of a place once called home. There on my way home, each day I seemed to crane my neck more and more to catch a glimpse, until finally I had to see it up close. Its former tenants long departed, leaving a place that was once home, once father to so many happy memories, now a carcass of what it once was. The beauty, and satisfaction of ownership, having a place of one's own forces these kind of buildings to shutter, and close for good.
