This project is a discourse both on portrait photography and visual art concept. It's a portrait series which is the model didn't look at camera and as the result is that the model did not look at audience or anybody who see the photo. It's about an action to approach the tradition of portrait photography which usually using character building and identity representation of the model/object, as refers in Wikipedia about portrait photography that:
"The goal of portrait photography is to capture the likeness of a person or a small group of people, typically in a flattering manner. Like other types of portraiture, the focus of photograph is the person's face, although the entire body and the background may be included... Often it is desirable to capture the subject's eyes and face in sharp focus while allowing other less important elements to be rendered in a soft focus. Other times portraits of individual features might be the focus of a composition such as the hands, eyes or part of a torso."
Who are they? What do you feel when you're looking at someone who throw his/her face after you?
The inexpensive, low-fidelity aesthetic and misty color of Holga camera give a good impact for this project result.
