As the summer has come to an end, so has a chapter in the history of Coney Island. Soon to be re-developed, the legendary Brooklyn attraction will most likely exchange its grimy vintage character for a more modern one. A testament to the addiction our society has to constantly make everything bigger, better, more profitable. These photographs document the Coney Island as it was this past summer, mid-transition. In many of them I try to re-create that feeling of nostalgia that comes over me when I look back at my own childhood summers.
