A Sweet Farewell to Chicago

I grew up on the outskirts of Chicago, and always enjoyed driving downtown to see the city. Chicago has one of the most beautiful skylines I have ever seen, I believe it is the living mirage of the Midwest.
Anyways, this summer my friend Tom came by to visit me for a couple days. Tom and I recently flew out to San Francisco with only a couple suitcases to our names. But before we did so, I wanted to show him Chicago. A perk of having a friend visit your city is doing all the touristy things I never had time to do. In only a couple days, I drove Tom around the city, showed him Millennium park, and went on an Architectural tour of Chicago. The latter involves paying 30 dollars to go on a boat for about an hour and they tell you the stories behind all the buildings surrounding the waterfront. To anyone who visits Chicago, I highly recommend taking the boat tour it makes you appreciate the architecture so much more.
This collection of photo's are some of my favorites from that weekend.

Exploring a grocery store in a small town is more interesting than you might assume.
