Lines and rectangles

Walking through Manhattan (but not just Manhattan) my eyes feast on the lines, rectangles and meshing of different types of architecture.
New York is not just a melting pot of cultures, it is a melting pot of architecture where the new and the old blend in to make a great recipe of architectural art and vision.
Take the time on both a sunny or rainy day in the morning, in the afternoon and evening will give you enough moments to immortalize what makes New York, New York.
For the first time in 7 years I have not been "at home" because being back in Europe leaves me with both a emotional and creative gap in my mind. Next year when the emotional part subsides I will got back and spend a couple of weeks rekindling and enjoying what I enjoyed doing most, walking through the streets with my cameras, talking to the people, shooting images and enjoy the busy streets in all its splendor.
Also enjoy a taster of the new photo book to be released Q1 2010

Tom, these are great. I visited Manhattan in July, and was struck by the kinds of geometric possibilities you've captured here. I wasn't able to get the wonderful shots that you have here, though. I really like this set. Voted!

Thank you Catherine and David for the kind comments. My love for New York is expressed through my eye and how it is materialized in the images I shoot. This is the first period in 7 years that I have not been in the city for 5 months. It pains me but next year I will go back. NY is in my blood, and more then saying I am a NYer as JFK said I am a Berliner.

Tom, I'm in NY right now, and it makes me realise how easy you make this look! I have a crick in my neck from looking up all the time ;o) What a great city - my feet hurt too!
