At the Coffee Shop

Every morning I come to Cup of Joe and visit. It is my time to actually have a conversation with people. Having just moved to Cedar Falls I do not really know anyone or even have a job so the morning is my time to visit, but today is different....
No older gentlemen to chat with. :-(
I usually don't bring my computer because they are here, so I am glad I did.
How did I meet these wonderful men, all old enough to be my father?
I was coming here for a while and one day I was journaling trying to do descriptive writing, just for a creative writing project.
Randy (whose name I did not know at the time) had brought in photos that he had taken and made into poster size. He was showing the owner and another gentleman, Daryl, his photos. Daryl was obviously a bicyclist, because he had a band around his right pant leg to keep his slacks from going into the gears. Daryl, as he was leaving, introduced himself and from that point on I made a friendship.
I wish they were here. It's the one thing I look forward to during my day. Although I enjoy their company, to say it is the "one thing" I enjoy right now is rather sad.
Hopefully... I will find some more enjoyment as I get more established here in my new home.
