How To

Keeping your weapon handy

On Track
Alone I stand in the Purple haze
Ready for my close-up

I went on a trip for the Army in Ft. Eustis, VA there so many possible pictures everywhere. This is where I saw the Railroad track and the Egret in the water at Sunset. The Egret seemed to be the only bird around for miles and the sunset was completely awesome image not having had my Camera. The railroad shot was the same it was as if someone set the track up for me to take a picture. The track was so rustic I could almost see the train coming. I read an article about 5years ago about Photographers that rush out to the same spot. That other shooters have, to take the same shot that they took that is not what Photography is about. For most of us, it most assuredly is not mine just like writers sometimes we just do not see a shot. Therefore, we look at a magazine where other Shooters have sent what their eyes have seen. Just imagine if we all did that only pulled out the Camera out to re-shoot the same pictures repeatedly. If we don't keep our electronic eyes with us, we will not be able to keep it fresh. There is a old saying that tells us that if we don't know our history we are doomed to repeat it. I would change it "If we don't keep a camera with us we are doomed to miss it". So I tell everyone I talk to, keep your weapon on you see us Camera bugs what you shot! Driving along on our daily grinds we past some of the most awesome pictures. I know I have in the years I've been doing this, how about you how many beautiful and original pictures have you cheated your fellow Photographers out of let's get off our tripods and get out there!
