Julia's Fight with Dengue Fever

Last October 4, my daughter was rushed to Our Lady of Lourdes hospital and was diagnosed to have dengue fever. dengue fever is carried by a special specie of mosquito called dengue mosquito. it came from africa and now has multiplied here in the philippines. It has caused many problems within the community and there is no known vaccine for it. the only thing that can fight it is to make the the immune system of the person stroger by re-hydrating it. well here in the philippines, some people believed that a certain weed called "tawa-tawa" can cure dengue. it is a weed and using it you have to boil it like tea and drink it. it makes your blood platelettes increase, since dengue attacks your internal organs and your blood platelettes decrease dramatically and dehydrates you first, then high fever then the last stage would be rashes on the skin and on some severe cases bleeding of the gums and nose.
well for 4 days, she was on a dextrose and 24hour watch by the doctors. she improved nicely thanks to her grandmother who brought her the tawa-tawa drink. well i do hope someday would find a cure for this disease.
thank god for making her well.
