The War Begins

I have been diagnosed with cancer they give me a year,with drugs maybe two the big fight starts soon,Please don't be sad or treat me any differently i am still me and i won't change,I only tell you this because i love JPG and the people on here whom i regard as my friends.
"Do not sit here and weep.
I am not here, I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glint on snow...
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain,
I am the shining star at night,
When you awake to the morning light.
My time has come, I am at rest.
I am the sunset in the west,
I am the clouds that race above,
Where I watch over those I love.
Do not sit here and cry,
I am not here, I do not die,
So hear these words that now I say,
I am the love that guides your way."

That is a beautiful poem, it made me cry....I am feeling it for sure!! I wish you the best!!! Chemo is some good stuff if it works, I would not be writing you if it wasn't! I am a survivor. I wish the same for you, and will pray for your recovery!! Hang tough Billy!!!

The poetry is beautiful..I heard about you through Rob Roy's site and my prayers are with you...Sometimes doctors are wrong with their diagnosis on how long one can live with cancer...It sounds like you have a lot to live for and please don't give up...Chemo has been known to help many people get well...Keep the faith and the fight to get better...God bless you!

Sorry Billy, I cried...funny I don't think I cried for myself at all last year, I was too busy fighting, I'm glad everyone knows now and love the way the are all rallying round, you are very brave to be sharing this...
