The Two I Love

This is the story of Nick and Nicole, my 24 year old twins, who as babies would fall asleep holding hands and would never be apart.
In high school, life, family and peer pressure divided the twins and there wasn't much love lost between them. Their mama (me) was sad and it kind of broke her heart to see the division.
After high school, the twins went their separate ways and began to realize they missed each other - and that the other wasn't so bad. They began a renewed friendship. Life was good.
Last week, Nick graduated from basic training with the US Navy. We flew out to Chicago from Oregon to witness the ceremony and celebrate with him. Nicole was so very proud of her brother and how good he looked and how he had matured and become a leader. Nick was so happy to see his sister, whom he had always looked up to (even if he is 6' 4" and she is 5' 9"!).
They joked and teased and caught up and laughed and played together at Six Flags amusement park. They rode the crazy rides and giggled and screamed together and reforged their special bond.
Mama is so happy her (babies) are close once again. We salute Nick in his service to the country - may he stay safe and always be reunited with his "sissy" (and mama).

Great story. Reminds me of the trip to Chicago when my bro graduated! Hopefully he is stationed in a low activity area after A-school!
