Fancy Fire

These photos were taken last month on a family camping trip I took my kids on. I have been waiting to show them this trick, now called "Funky Flames" (sold at walmart if you want an extremely short, cheap version of this trick) for a long long time. My dad used to throw a smallish piece of copper stuffed with cut of pieces of old garden hose to make this effect. The flames last about 45 minutes, and if you are brave, you can restuff the **extremely** HOT HOT HOT copper with more hose by using a piece of firewood and knocking the hose into the copper. The copper should be placed under an established fire, don't put it in until your sure your fire will burn good for the next hour . I hope everyone enjoys this, I know this cool fire was always the highlight of any camping trip when I was a kid :)
