abandoned furniture

...i love shooting abandoned furniture, wondering, who sat here? why did this piece get tossed? sometimes, you can tell right away why it got tossed....other times, you're left to wonder. this perfectly good mattress was put out...what mistake was made upon it that necessitated its disposal? i found three quarters under the cushion of this impossibly destroyed couch, made cozy by the fisheye...reminiscent of childhood sleepovers...enjoy.

There's something really intimate about abandoned furniture and their stories. Each is clearly unique and each has some tale of a life, happy or sad, but with all ending in abandonment.
Good images and a good essay, they made me think. -
