My Precious 20D
Canon 20D by Canon

I love all of my camera gear. I could not image life without my wide angle lens. It is great for landscapes and commercial photography. What would I ever do without my zoom lenses? I would miss out on all those birds and things that I just can't get close too. I love my macro!! Then there is my tripod. I hated it at first, but now I can't image shooting without it. Then there are my lights. I have modeling lights, strobes, flashlights, and all their umbrellas, boxes, and filters. I have had hours of fun playing with light. There are extensions, converters, cable releases, and filters. I have so much gear and I love every piece of it. To choose my favorite, I have to get down to the basics. Which piece pulls it all together?
I love my canon 20d! I love it so much that I bought two of them. One is usually fitted with a wide angle and the other with a telephoto. So much time is saved and images that would have been missed from changing out lenses are no longer an issue. I love that I know where just about every button is without looking. I love that I can hold that shutter button down and it will fire and fire and fire. I love the control I have with all of the options. I love the priority selections. I can set the aperture priority or shutter priority depending on the image I am trying to create. It allows me so much more freedom. I bought my 20Ds from friends that have moved up in the Canon World. Both of them have come back and said that they wish they had stuck with the 20D. I am even happier that they did not buy them back from me.

you didn't submit any picture? I'm with you, wide angle is the way to go...at first I used a telephoto on everything...now I never use it....could walk off the face of the planet with a roll of infrared film in a leica with a 24mm....and never look back.

It's always nice when you "get on" with your camera gear but I suspect you would still make great images with a pin-hole camera made from a biscuit tin.Great story that certainly gets my vote.Super images too!!!

Too late now but your idea of having two cameras with different lenses at the ready is great. Now, I wish I'd have kept my Minolta 5D to do that very thing with. Guess I can't cry over spilt milk. Great story!
