Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park

Rain Forest - Volcano National Park Series

Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park is an incredible adventure, and an amazingly picturesque locale. From the wide crater at the peak of Kilauea, through the tropical rain forests of the mid-elevations, to the dry and windy plateaus where the lava meets the ocean; the beautiful and alien landscapes beg to be photographed, and enjoyed.

The selected photos here represent my favorites from a trip in June 2009.

Nice shots. Don't you love that "road closed" sign? Love the misty ferns shot.
