The Phil & Sons gas station. Once independently owned and operated, a neighborhood staple, now just a corpse.

their writings on the walls, the furnitures they once bought, the buttons they switched on and off... once off 'forever'... a sort of photographic poem ... hats off! -

Excellent documentary photographs of one small part of a larger change. I'm guessing the neighborhood isn't what it once was, and this is one of many changes rippling through the place. I like the warm tone of these, they add consistency to the story, and to me at least, give the images a nostalgic rather than foreboding feel.
