For Those About to Rock

For Those About to Rock #10

While tailgating before a hockey game last month, I met the lead singer of a rock band, Donnie Honeycutt of Echo Code, in Charlotte, NC. We talked some about his band some and he asked me to photograph the band's CD release party.

I was a little nervous as this was my first concert shoot. Everything I read online made it seem as if concert photography is one of the most difficult situations due to unpredictable lighting. Fortunately, the shoot went very well. I was able to get right up at the stage. The band sounded excellent.

I'm hoping they find great success, then I can say I photographed them before they made it big!
