January in So Cal

January is AWESOME in so cal...:) Well anyways my husband and I took the boat out last weekend for a little cruise and some fishing, lots to see! At first I just had my camera out, snapping pictures of boats, houses made of "ticky-tacky" and Balboa Pier, when we noticed a ton of rose petals floating by, then full on roses and later wreaths. I don't know if they were set in mourning or celebration but it sure was beautiful! Further along in our day we heard a report of dolphin so we went to check it out, only saw a laboring seal, full fat tummy, spinning over and over again in the warm surface water. The day was low 70's, no wind and just absolutely gorgeous! I couldn't have asked for a better day. (Everyone else apparently knew it too because there were TONS of other boaters out!) The sunset was nice, clear and regular. It was too cold by then to go out of the bay area to try and get clear shots, summer is coming though so expect more from this sea-lover. The "ticky-tacky" was a lot more interesting on the way home...
