In the early 1800s Cuvier observed that fossils discovered around Paris were thousands of centuries old.through comparitive anatomy the theory of extinction was proposed,putting the age of the earth into question and so questioning the bible itself.faith in the foundations of the bible from creation to noahs great flood was shaken and a great yet alarming age for scientists began-geology,dinosaurs,evolution,tests of faith that seem just as imperative to many today.
