Crucified is the perfect title for this image. The bird makes me feel sad and yet I admire it's beauty at the same time. Beautiful composition, the detail in the feathers is stunning and I like that you have not overdone the color saturation and left it looking more natural and true to life. I read your essay too, very much my feelings on shooting birds. I have no patience to sit for hours either!
