[STILL LIFE]
My very first attempt at a still life.
My wife was ill and we needed groceries. Carefully selected these fruits on a quick trip to the market alone. When I returned home, I set this up on a cutting board in the bedroom so I could pursue my hobby while watching over her.
Necessity is the mother of invention!
In the "...a few of my favorite things." photo essay.

This is one of the best still life photos I've seen on JPG. The lighting is phenomenal!

I love the water droplets on the apples. The contrasts in the colors of the red and gold apples mixed with shadow and light is a perfect still life, but this isn't just a lucky shot. It takes thought, experience and practice, with knowledge of good lighting.

The contrasts of the apples and the foreground with the dark background are very pleasing to the eye. Also the water droplets give the impression these are fresh picked which makes them ap"peal"ing as well.

This is a really cool composition and I think that the drops of water bring the photo to completion.
