The Ransom
After Mel Gibson's Passion of the Christ, I've never seen as riveting and gripping as the one presented here in the 11th "Buhing Kalbaryo" * (a live re-enactment during the last few hours of Jesus Christ) in Cebu City, Philippines by the acclaimed, international award winning Filipino playwright and director Al Evangelio last March 21, 2008. The live street performance is done every year -- on a Good Friday.
A real crucifixion took place! (I squirmed when I saw the nails pierced into the hands of Mark Escuyos, the penitent. Link of him attended by doctors and nurses, after his nerve-wracking crucifixion, in this link, http://jpgmag.com/photos/972418. I had searing goosebumps. I had no choice but to document the whole event.)

Thank you, Megan. This event is one of my memorable street photography/social realism captures that I have documented this year.
