A male penitent reenacts the crucifixion of Jesus by allowing himself to be actually nailed on a wooden cross in Barangay San Pedro Cutud, Pampanga, Philippines. The real-life crucifixion and flagellation rites in this place every Good Friday have been a regular practice by the people who live there to show their faith and belief in God although the Catholic Church does not approve of the crucifixions and does not endorse them.
