to brighten up the work day
Looking through the window - and through the Venetian blinds - of an office, I spotted this drawing of a flower pinned above some files, obviously to brighten up the work day.
Isn't this ironical?
If we look out, we might see real flowers, or at least real trees. But when we look in, we see only a drawing of a flower.

I agree, it is a bit silly...people could have pot flowers instead...or not, depending on available light :(
