All-a-flutter
The afternoon we got back from the Iowa State fair, where I had shot some Monarch's, two of the creatures had left their chrysalis in our terrarium at home. My wife had been taking care of what starte out to be about a 1/8th long caterpillar. The chrysalis had turned black that morning. This one was still drying out it's wings, while my wife was taking to the door for release. About 5 minutes later, it flew from her hand towards our front perennial garden.
