Oh lordy that's great! :)
As far as getting your puppy in the water, it helps to start with a body of water where there's no current (like the ocean or a river), and then carry that pup right in the water with you--not too deep, but where he'd definitely have to paddle! Gently place him down and give him lots of praise--but be sure not to "baby" him...keep moving him forward as he starts paddling and call him to you. When he gets out, have him sit and give him one of his favorite treats! He should easily adapt to the swimming--and if he's still struggling, definitely get him a buddy to swim with! A lot of times it's the environment that scares the dogs the most--so making it comfortable without "babying" the dog helps a lot. If you're confident about it and keep that attitude, he will feel a lot more comfy! :) Hope that helps!!! Take care!! -
