Creepy heads
The Government House Museum in St Augustine, Florida, houses mainly standard archaeological remains, but the papier-mache figures near the entrance of the exhibits are both notable and creepy. Intended to demonstrate how English settlers in the area dressed (and scowled) in the 19th Century, the art and education is lost when you realize the figures are 10 feet tall.
