This group of wildland firefighters flee a growing flame front.
This photo was taken a hundred yards from our camp site. No one was in very much danger the area they are running on was a rock scab so it wouldn't carry fire very well. The flames are from a draw that burned up in the middle of the night. The trees are below a 20-30 ft cliff. Everyone is running from the heat and not for their lives.

Very cool shot! Were they civilian firefighters, cause I don't see firefighter gear on them.
