This is St Joseph's Church, in it's final days, early in 2008. It was sold by the Springfield Diocese just a year earlier due to a dwindling congregation and the high costs of upkeep. After being a part of the city skyline and community history since 1874, the church was demolished by an out of state developer seeking the land to build a branch bank and office space. To many local citizens, the loss of this once beautiful church was an outrage.
