Californian eclipse chaser Fred Bruenjes observes the brief Total Solar Eclipse on 8 april 2005 from a ship just south of the aequator in the Pacific Ocean after sailing 4 days due west from Galapagos Islands. Totality lasted 30 seconds only ! It was a perfect intercept. The bright dot above eclipsed Sun is planet Venus.
