We’re In the heart of Jakarta capital city in Indonesia making some portraits of “Bus Driver Assistant” we call them “Kenek” in Indonesia, especially in Jakarta. Their job is to help passengers to go in or out the bus, collect the money from the passenger, they inform the people waiting for the bus on the street by shouting their route and inform the passengers in the bus when the bus is about to arrive in a bus stop or a terminal, they also tell the driver to stop when a passenger has to get out of the bus (people don’t need a bus stop for this…it’s Indonesia, dude)
However, “keneks” helps thousands of people using public transport every day in Jakarta. They are our URBAN COWBOYS…..
