I used a Nikon 50mm f/1.4D reverse mounted on a Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6G.

Is this is the same guy?
How do you reverse mount?? Sorry for buggin you with all my questions. -
Kevin Collins said (21 Sep 2008):
This is the same spider. Reverse mounting is made possible by a metal coupling ring that joins two lenses by their filter threads.

Seen a lot of jumping spiders on here. Never thought that they looked so cool up close. Im surprised that he didn't jump away before you took the shot.

Another incredible shot. I've started experimenting with lens-reversal, with mixed results. What do you use for lighting?
-
Kevin Collins said (15 Oct 2008):
I use a remote flash positioned over a triangle of computer paper.
