Newborn calf and momma in field near Schaefferstown, PA.
I spied her as we were making our way out to Middle Creek. I haven't ever seen a calf this young "in real life." I only knew what I was looking at because of seeing a cow give birth on TV! The calf was still slick all over. She was licking him clean while I snapped off a slew of shots. She would pop her head up and look at me as though to guage my level of threat, then go back to licking the calf.
