For whatever reason, if people see you with a camera, taking pictures, they are often compelled to come talk to you. So this guy saw me taking this picture and crossed the street, heading in my direction.
"Great," I thought sarcastically. Then I actually listened to what he was saying.
"If you wanted to get a real New York City moment, you should have come here earlier - there was a man sleeping on that couch for the past two days."
I just look at him and tilt my head slightly.
"A whole lotta good that does me now!" I said. Then I turned and walked away.
True story!
