this is a vintage piece of propaganda that I actually wore to school in 6th grade, much to my father's dismay....

the other shirt was a gift from a friend, in the early 90's.

ironically, I am sitting at the front door of welfare at the time I took this self portrait....single mom with four sons and no support....shooting infrared for relief....with my darkroom in the only bathroom in this 2bdrm low income housing "garden" apartment in centreville, va.

those were the days my friend...I thought they'd never end....

    oh wow Peggy....i must say that this photo (more so the story behind it perhaps) brought tears to my eyes. how powerful. i am glad those days are over for you Peggy. you are one (of very few) the most strong people i know. excellent work here Peggy!!
