and the flowers rejoiced
as i drove in my car, the flowers sang and the clouds danced to the sound of summer, my grandmother wrote poems long forgotten and as the trees ache for rain, did i to find them lost among relics thrown to the dust mites and cobwebbed corners of the past. the flowers rejoiced.
this is compiled from a photograph of my grandmothers poetry and a photo i took from my car window on a road trip. the title is one my grandmother came up with long ago. i love you.
