Chains

The chains on the lower left were placed in the ankles of slaves with the potential to run. The top left feature chains that were used on children's wrists. The long chain on the right is to connect the leg shackles of the men. They are all heavy I tired holding them for a few minutes during the lecture.

Sherry I'm so glad you visited this museum it is so heart touching to me...As I sit and gazed into the 11 captures it sent cold shivers up my spine...I had my son to sit and view the capture with me The chain was a real eye opener...Being from Alabama and with my son being from a mixed race I look in his eyes thinking that could of been my sons wrists or ankles in those ....I think you so much for doing these captures it has meant so much to me and my son...Great Capture and Very POWERFUL
