While living in Russia, I went with my good friend to visit her family's dacha, her country house. Her grandmother, 83 years old and so stooped she walks with a cane, still bakes pierogi there in the traditional stone oven as Russians have for generations. She was surprised and delighted that I wanted to take her picture with her creations - which were truly delicious.

Awe, this is such a wonderful capture! You've got this ladt in HER element - the bread, the apron, the necklaces, there's so much character in this shot. Love it! (The yellow bag is kind of an eyesore.) Otherwise, great shot!
