Bite me
This wee guy (about the size of a dime) conveniently side stepped out from a gap in a cedar rail fence (see cave entrance to left) as I was searching for spiders to shoot. I got one shot and she was gone.

Luckily was carrying the camera on the tripod (after unsuccessfully trying to capture a small spider on a web in wind!) and had the remote shutter release attached and mirror up.
Nikon D3 with the Nikon 105 2.8 AF (not the VR version) macro. No flash or reflector (had both with me but no time to put in play), however she was facing southwest and although in the shade of bushes and cat tails it was a very sunny day, so natural light only. That catch lights will be the sun through the leaves or spider laser beams trying to subdue me! DOF was f10. -

nice clarity and timing! I really like your sense of humor that comes through some of your photos and their titles too.
