dreams happen with our eyes wide open
The beauty of having hopes and dreams is that we can mold and shape them into our own versions of reality.. the more we persist, the more of ourselves we are willing to expose, the risks we allow ourselves to take on the quest towards our futures - all these things give us the power to "be" and to "do".
Sometimes our minds can work against us however. This happened to me recently and I was about to give up on something for fear that things would not turn out the way my original vision was painted within my mind. The setbacks were overwhelming and I almost turned away from something beautiful when for a moment it became unclear.
What a horrible reason to give up!!! It is impossible to know what the future holds.. but that is the beauty of it. Striving, being willing to give, being willing to lose. Without effort, I think we're missing the point.....
