To me, democracy means that everyone has a voice and the freedom to be as loud or silent as they see fit. We may all look different, have different views and ideas on how things are supposed to work, but together we've built a nation that is unlike any other on Earth.
I took this photo while participating in our small town Fourth of July parade. There were many cameras focused on the parade, but I was the only one actually in the parade snapping pictures back at them!
